On Saturdays, I easily get caught up in the conversation with the guys in the South Side. I admired the community I saw they had. They were always looking out for each other. But sometimes I forget that it's 1 in the afternoon when they've opened their second, third, fourth can of beer. Sometimes I forget how dangerous living on the streets can be. I forget that they are still slaves to their addictions. I've been told and I tell others, we're not there to tell them how to live their lives. But I don't want to see them hurt anymore.
